The Foot

baby foot

Mommy I heard people say that I’m nothing but a pile of goo.

Does goo have a foot pressing against you?

Daddy you can’t hear me speak.

But listen, you can hear my heart beat.

Mommy, why do you talk like I’m not here?

Your words hurt! I wish you could see my tears.

Mommy it’s nice inside you, please let me stay.

Daddy, aren’t you suppose to protect me, anyway?

There was a time when I had no fear, but I hear people say the end in  near.

Don’t take me out before I’m due.

Daddy that scares me. Why doesn’t it scare you?

I keep hearing these awful noises and strange sounds.

I also heard both you say, things will be better when I’m not around.

Please don’t hurt me, I don’t want to die.

If only I could find a place inside here to hide.

I don’t want to leave before my time.

Give me a chance like you had to survive.

Look! I’m pressing my foot inside your tummy.

Can’t you see my toes mommy?

Daddy! I’m not a glob or some goo. I’ve got a foot, just like you.

Daddy, take mommy and get me out of here!

Before it’s too la….
