What’s Up My Nigga?

I am not your nigger. What ever gave you that idea? Is it that you were never taught? Don’t you know what it cost to kill that name? My brother, why resurrect the pain? Are you an emissary of the Klan? Some fool raping the land or just another dumb stupid uneducated black man?

That name was buried in blood. Not the blood of our Lord which was shed for the sins of all. Even His blood didn’t stop the unrelenting call of Nigger. But His blood gave us the strength to shed our own. And we did! We shed it gladly because we knew that dead we would be free, but alive niggers we refused to be.

Yet you continue to resurrect that insidious name! A name that reeks of degradation, self loathing and pain. Why do it? Have you no shame? How can you walk on the graves of those who sacrificed all they had to eliminate that accursed name? Would you walk up to Martin and say, “What’s up my nigga?” Would you tell Medgar the same? While you’re at it, reach deep down into that Mississippi pit and tell the blood of Goodman, Schwerner and Chaney that they should have never came. Go tell Emmett Till too! Boy, you should have stayed up there in that Chicago school.

Don’t forget to pay homage to the countless trees from Georgia to Tennessee. Trees that held the disemboweled bodies of black men like me. Yes pay your respect to places like Stone Mountain and Pulaski where burning crosses darkened the sky, so evil men could lay plans for who must die.

Harriet Tubman didn’t accept that name. Frederick Douglass felt the same. Both fought and were ready to die, so that the word nigger wouldn’t survive. Yet you’d spit on the grave of Richard Allen and tell the 54th Mass to get out of your way. You’d call Sojourner a liar and Booker T a fool, because you can’t see that they saw you another way.

Then you confuse some white folks by the way you act. The racist cheer and shout for joy, because you proved them right when you fell for their ploy. To them a nigger is no better than a mangy dog. They point to your lack of self respect as proof to all. By calling your brother nigger, you have validated their sin and justified their reasoning that we are really nothing more than an error of creation in dark skin. So they take heart knowing their work is almost done. After years of lynchings, now they watch us kill each other for fun.

Yet there were others willing to sacrifice all. To prove that a black man wasn’t a dog. From Coffin to Garrison they stood in the gap and like our forerunners they too had to endure many a racist trap. They were called carpetbaggers, scalawags and nigger lovers too. And for many the cost of blood was due. John Brown took up arms trying to set our people free, and for his efforts he was hung from yet another tree. Many others joined the cause to remove that awful name. Their efforts too required much heartache and pain.

What do their descendants think when they hear you voice a name so cruel? In vain do they dread that their ancestor’s efforts failed and that black men are only worthy of hell. No they still hope and pray like me that one day we will all walk in dignity. Once you understand what hatred really means, you’ll learn that only love can set a man free. And in that day when you can finally see, out of your mouth the word nigger will cease to be.

Christianity versus Political Idolatry

I asked ten members of my black, democratic Christian family members to participate in a small survey. The survey was a test of loyalty, but loyalty to whom? The survey consisted of the following questions:
1. Are you a Christian? If the answer is no please stop. If the answer is yes please continue.
2. Do you believe that abortion and homosexually are sins against God and man? If the answer is no, please state why they are not and then stop. If the answer is yes, please continue.
3. Did you vote for President Obama and other politicians that support abortion and homosexual relationships? If the answer is no stop. If the answer is yes, the final questions are as follows:
4. Why would you vote for people that openly support evils that God condemns when you could have voted for people that supports God’s values?
The survey responses are followed by my comments and commentaries on the responses.
M: I’m a Baptist cuz. I tell everyone I love them.
Sam: I do not understand your response, but thanks anyway.
Commentary: He did not answer any questions. He seems to be a fence sitter. He doesn’t want to offend anyone. Maybe he doesn’t know that Jesus came specifically to separate believers from unbelievers.
Matt 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. (KJV)

L: Yes, yes, I (not God) wanted to see a black man in the office as president of the United States.
Sam: That’s an honest answer.
Commentary: While L shared his true reason, he hasn’t explained why he votes against his beliefs. He claims to be adamantly against abortion and homosexuality. I do not believe that his decisions are based solely on voting for Mr. Obama. If that were the case, he would not vote for other pro-abortion and pro-homosexual politicians. L has been voting against his interest before President Obama came on the scene. No L also seems to be seated on the fence. He apparently doesn’t understand that fence sitters in up with splinters in their posteriors.
Rev 3:15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.16 “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. (NKJ)

J: I think that a lot of people voted for Obama including me because he is the first black President. God does forbid homosexuality but he is also a forgiving god and we are not to judge.
Sam: If you’d like, I can give you some insights on the judging thing. But I do have a follow up question. Isn’t repentance required before forgiveness? J did not respond to my follow up question.
Commentary: J spoke of God’s forgiveness, but never responded to my inquiry about repentance. She knows that Mr. Obama still holds anti-godly moral positions and has no intention of abandoning them. She apparently has no problem voting for politicians who support ungodly policies.
She also fails to understand the biblical principles of judging. How did she come to the conclusion that I was judging the president? How do you determine biblical fruit?
Matt 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? (NKJ)

S: Yes, yes, I voted for Obama and honestly I voted for him not knowing that he supported either on those issues.
Sam: I did not ask S a follow up question.
Commentary: I wonder how S will vote in the future now that she knows what she knows. If given a choice, will she vote for the prolife and traditional marriage candidates?
B. I truly love you, but we are not having this conversation.

Sam: I did not ask B a follow up question, because my survey was not welcome.

Commentary: How can a loyal faithful Christian refuse to discuss the will, teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ? Which Jesus is she following?

Matt 10:33 But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. (NIV)

D. Yes, yes. No I did not vote.

Sam: D was a senior in college at the time. He was pre-occupied with his academics.

Commentary: Like many young men and women, D is trying to find his place in the world. He has definite prolife and anti-homosexual opinions, but he is not politically astute. Once he decides to venture into the political process, hopefully his moral compass will guide his political decisions

JE. Yes, yes, yes. I believed the whole hype about the first African-American President, and promises of a better economy sounded very promising for me living in poverty. I realize now that I should have educated myself more before deciding so quickly, because I want to be sure that my morals and ethics align with who I vote for.

Commentary: The failure of President Obama’s economic policies caused JE to reconsider her vote. But what if those policies produced a robust economy? Would she still reconsider her decision? Would she still make sure that her morals and ethics agreed with her vote?

If we are firmly grounded and rooted in the word of God, neither good nor bad economies will influence our decision. Our decisions will be based solely on our understanding of God’s will.

Deut 6: These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. (NIV)

No responses were received from Sh, R or G.

My short unscientific family survey provided some interesting insights:

1. One member voted for politicians who support abortion and homosexuality without knowing their position on practices. Therefore, 10% voted against God out of ignorance.

2. One member did not vote, but claims to hold a strong pro-life and anti-homosexuality position. Therefore, 10% did not vote against the will of God.

3. One member knowingly voted for politicians who advocate policies against God, because of promises of prosperity. This member belatedly regrets the vote. Therefore 10% voted against God out of greed or perceived necessity.

4. One refused to discuss the issue. Another obfuscated by claiming universal love. Three others never responded to the survey. Therefore 50% of my professing Christian family members surveyed would not present a witness to Christ.

5. Two proudly defended their presidential votes based solely on the color of the candidate. L admitted his selfish reasoning; whereas, J express the necessity of our tolerance and God’s forgiveness. Both acknowledged the political sins against God and man; however, neither seems to be troubled about their continued support of politicians who stand against God. Therefore 20% gave unbiblical defenses for voting against God’s will for mankind.

Analysis
No one took a biblical approach to voting. How can followers of Christ cast Him out of the voting booth? How can true Christian believers, vote against their beliefs? God never changes (Hebrews 13:8) and neither should we!

Christians must always defend God, protect the children and marriage. How can we allow for the destruction of God’s creation and expect Him to bless us:

Ps 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (KJV)

Mark 10:14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. (KJV)

God made man for woman and woman for man. Who are we to change that?

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (KJV)

1 Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders (NIV)

Who are we to condone evil? If something is evil in God’s eyes, it must remain evil in our eyes. At all times must we see the world through the lens of Jesus Christ.

Woe unto the American Church

With the legislative passage of homosexual marriage in New York, and the continued judicial insertion of homosexual marriage in California, the final destruction of Christianity in America has commenced from sea to shiny sea.
Who will support biblically based marriage? Not the Federal Government. President Obama ordered the attorney general to stop defending the Defense of Marriage Act. The president said it was unconstitutional. Not the schools. They teach our children that homosexual relationships are normal and should be accepted by everyone. Not the media. When was the last time a major publication defended Christianity? What major network presents Christian characters in a positive light?
There are positive homosexual articles available for the reading public to purchase everywhere. Homosexual portrayals have become standard on television, but not Christians. A true representation of Christian life or Christianity in general is not allowed on the airwaves. This may not be an official ban, but it is a consistent one. Christians are portrayed as narrow minded bigots, sleazy con men, intolerant preachers or wing nuts!
Although Christianity is constantly assaulted, it is still fashionable to be a Christian in “name only”. The overwhelming majority of American politicians claim to be Christian. They appear in churches or on the campaign stump professing their love for Christ. The dishonest ones are honored by the media; whereas, the ones who take a firm stand for Christ are vilified by the same media.
What a strange contorted society we’ve conceived. We are encouraged to embrace those who pretend to love Christ, and ruthlessly attack those who actually love Him. This twisted logic did not escape the word of God.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (KJV)
I do not fault the homosexual community or their supporters for promoting their concept of life. I do not agree with them, but I understand their desire to be considered normal. Nevertheless, my opinion is irrelevant. Real Christians are obligated to obey God’s commandments. Those who do not believe in God may consider this position out dated, but their opinion is irrelevant as well. God makes the rules and those washed in the blood of Christ must to follow His rules.
The Bible states that those who engage in same sex practices are offending God and their own bodies. The redefinition of marriage is an abomination which cannot be ignored. Christians cannot pretend not to see that middle finger pointing in the face of God. We must resist marital redefinition efforts on all fronts: word by word, line by line and step by step.
We are in a war in which only one side can win. Jesus said that the gates of hell will not prevail against His church, but He did not say the church in America will prevail. The church in Europe is all but dead. Shall we join them? There was a time when we sent missionaries to Africa. Now Africa would do well to send missionaries to America.

The homosexual community with the help of secular politicians, the liberal media, progressive academics, and lazy apathetic Christians are pushing the church into the basement. If the church remains apathetic and doesn’t rise to the battle, asking God’s forgiveness will not be enough. We may also need to apologize to Judas, because apathy is far worse than treachery. At least traitors take a side!

Allen Gregory – (Thank God this blasphemy was cancelled)

Allen Gregory, a battle the church cannot afford to lose!

The secularization of our society has reached a new low! On October 30, 2011, Fox will introduce its latest primetime cartoon, Allen Gregory. There is nothing new about an obnoxious, disrespectful child on the tube, but this one is being raised by two men! Hollywood is constantly pushing anti-Christian shows in the face of God and man. The trend has become so common that the church tends to ignore it, but our apathy must cease!

The homosexual community and its supporters cannot change “hard core” old school Christians, so they will go after our children. Our apathy has allowed them to circumvent the church and forage strong allies in the educational, political and entertainment fields. The permissive anything goes attitude is the norm.

The entertainment industries encourages and salutes the homosexual lifestyle. Movies and television shows have progressively included “gay” characters. If and I do mean if, a Christian character is in the lineup, he is usually the psychopath, money grubber, womanizer or wing nut!

With the Allen Gregory show, a full frontal assault has begun on our children. Informed Christians may keep their children away from this form of indoctrination, but what about the uninformed? What about those lost to this world? Isn’t the church sworn to be light and salt? What are we to do, ignore it?

For far too long, many of us have left our shields in the shed and our swords in the sheath. We need to arm and re-engage the enemies of Christ. He didn’t save us to sit on our heavenly bound seats. He saved us to make disciples of men and to teach them everything he commanded us to teach. Did He not say, “If you love me, keep my commandments?” How can we keep them if we remain silent? How can we look at our children and not consider what will become of their grandchildren if we do not act? Remember what Joshua said, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.

We cannot serve him unless we engage the battle. Let Fox know that this evil will not be tolerated. Let your friends and neighbors know. Tell the church! Tell your friends to tell their churches. Are we covered by the blood? Are we more than conquerors? What say you Christian soldier? Will you fight or will you die? Gather your shield and sword. I’ll see you on the battle field.
