Ross Fork Fire grows to 31,000 acres, grows 2,500 acres in last 24 hours

The Ross Fork Fire in Blaine County has grown to 31,321 acres and grew over 2,500 acres in the last 24 hours. The fire is still 2% contained, and there are now

approximately 500 personnel fighting the fire. Highway 75 between Stanley and Ketchum closed once again, but could open if conditions permit. A closure order was made

for the areas surrounding the Ross Fork Fire on the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and Fairfield Ranger District. The Blaine County Sheriff has placed Smiley Creek,

Sawtooth City and Alturas Lake in a “GO” evacuation status, which means evacuate now.
